Lettuce-Cabbage

Cultivation

The first step in cultivating lettuce and cabbage is selecting a suitable area of our field with good drainage and ample sunlight. Lettuces and cabbages require plenty of light to thrive.

We choose varieties of lettuces and cabbages that are suitable for our region and climate conditions. The varieties we cultivate include:

  • -Romana Lettuce
  • -Iceberg Lettuce
  • -Green and Red Oakleaf Lettuces
  • -French Salad
  • -White (Green) and Red Cabbages

We plant our lettuce crops during the summer months so that we can harvest them in early autumn.

Maintenance

After cutting, allow the leaves to dry slightly to reduce moisture. Then, store the leaves in a refrigerator or in a cool area of the house. The temperature should be below 5°C. You can place them in a plastic bag or container, but make sure they are not overly dry or wet.
